Scripps Seaside Forum
The Robert Paine Scripps Forum for Science, Society, and the Environment at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography is an incredibly innovative new conference and meeting facility. Located on the southern end of the Scripps campus in La Jolla and just steps from the La Jolla Shores, the structure flaunts large windows to show off its million-dollar view. The entire west wall of the main event space at the Forum is composed of large glass doors that can be folded open to provide a true ocean-front experience. Events can flow from inside the modern, state-of-the-art building to outside where guests will enjoy the fresh sea air with ease and elegance.
Surf's Up at Camp Pendleton
Welcome to Marine Corps Base Camp Joseph H. Pendleton and the site of the Corps largest amphibious assault training facility. With more than 125,000 acres of varied terrain and over 17 miles of Southern California coastline, Camp Pendleton is one of the Department of Defenses busiest training installations. Each year more than 38,000 active-duty and 26,000 reserve military personnel from all military 
branches use Camp Pendleton's training facilities to maintain and sharpen their combat skills.
Guests enter the main gates of Camp Pendleton, where base personnel board the coaches to explain current operations as well as answer questions. On a brief tour en route to their final destination, guests may view various tanks, amphibious assault vehicles, troop transport vehicles and aircraft. Guests are then escorted to Del Mar Beach and Cantina, where they will enjoy a fabulous evening complete with plenty of space to party the night away.
Walk on the Wild Side
Straight from the heart of the jungle, this safari excursion invites guests to "Take a Walk on the Wild Side!" What better way to celebrate San Diego style than to "round up" your wild bunch and treat them to a scene full of color and life? Guests enter an area transformed into a lush tropical setting that brings out the "wild" in every attendee. Bold colors of lighting treatments splash across the event space. Themed stage displays create thematic focal points. Tables are dressed with dramatic bold linens using a mix of colors and wild prints. Tropical foliage completes the centerpiece displays.
It's Showtime!
There is magic in the air! Our theatrical review showcases talent from famed Broadway casts. No element has been spared … lavish costumes, artistic choreography, and stunning vocals blend beautifully to pay tribute to the classics. Eclectic tables provide a unique twist and sophistication, mixing over sized squares and rounds for varied seating. Textured linens are topped with uniquely blended overlays, while bold centerpieces of stylized florals offer a sharp punch of color. Combining the highest level of musical theatrics with sophisticated production elements, this incomparable performance includes spectacularly staged scenes from the world's most beloved musicals.
An Evening at Orfila Winery
Located within the San Pasqual Valley, this 120-acre pristine urban reserve produces some of San Diego's finest wines. Among the varietals produced are Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, with recent awards for the unique Merlot. Orfila Winery is the site of the first vineyard in California, planted more than
200 years ago. Guests enjoy a tasting of two wines along with tray-passed hors d’oeuvres during the reception before entering the private canopy for dinner. Linens and fresh florals adorn the dining tables. A lively trio entertains guests throughout the evening.
